Dr Jacqui Theobald is a senior lecturer for Social Work and Social Policy at the Rural Health School, La Trobe University, based in Bendigo. She is an experienced qualitative researcher with expertise in social work, sociological and historical research methods. Her primary areas of research interest include women’s specialist family violence refuges, sexual violence prevention and women's homelessness. Jacqui also has experience in direct practice, policy development and advocacy as a social worker in the field of homelessness and has worked in government and non-government organisations in Victoria and South Australia.
