Leanne Nicholson is the Executive Manager, Youth and Homelessness Services at Anchor. With 25+ years’ experience, Leanne is a dedicated youth advocate committed to changing the trajectory for children and young people through early intervention, prevention and structural and policy reform. With a strong background across youth work, alcohol and other drug, youth justice and homelessness services and post-graduate education in human services, experiential learning and business Leanne blends frontline experience with innovative program design to create meaningful change.
Leanne emphasises youth voice in shaping services and ensuring that all children and young people are seen and supported when accessing specialist homelessness services, integrating experiential learning opportunities, building resilience, developing tools and skills for life to navigate life with confidence.
Leanne will explore the importance of early intervention in homelessness prevention and how child and youth-centred approaches can shape effective policies and services.
