Mercy Foundation
Sue Mowbray is the Chief Executive Officer of the Mercy Foundation, a mission-driven organisation committed to ending homelessness, ending modern slavery and addressing social injustice at the community level. The Foundation achieves its mission through grant making, advocacy, education and research.
Sue started work at the Mercy Foundation in 2009 and has since managed its grants programs. The Grants to End Homelessness program has funded numerous projects across Australia, focused on ending or preventing homelessness, particularly chronic homelessness and homelessness concerning older women.
The Mercy Foundation also has an interest in ending modern slavery and its Social Justice Small Grants program, established in 1990, continues to assist community organisations address social justice issues at the grass roots.
The Mercy Foundation was established by the Sisters of Mercy North Sydney and is now a ministry of Mercy Partners.
